SponsorBlock is a great and useful idea overall, but it's ruined by idiots who just spam random segments everywhere just to climb the leaderboard. I mainly see this on music videos, with people marking parts as "non-music" even when the music is clearly still playing. They don't care about actually helping, they just want numbers and points. And then you have people with tens of thousands of segments and millions of skips, but their net vote is like -1800. That tells you everything you need to know — people hate their submissions. But they don't care, because they got their spot on the list. So yeah, the concept is good, the execution is nice, but the leaderboard turns it into a toxic competition and ruins the experience for everyone who actually wants quality skips.
